Who I Am

Born in Date City, Hokkaido. After completing graduate school, I joined a trading company in 2007, managing domestic and international orders, sales, and new business development. In 2012, I led the establishment of PT.PADICO Indonesia, the local subsidiary of the trading company I worked for, focusing on biomass fue (PKS) exports.

I later managed my family’s business and supported its closure with strategic insights. In 2017, I joined the City Hall to oversee regional policy?focusing on relocation and settlement, community-building (with attention to social capital), and employment support. Since 2020, I have been active in a regional government-affiliated corporation, while also representing an corporation with certified farmland ownership.I hope to continue shaping what I can—step by step—for my family, my community, and, through this corporation, for anyone I may be able to support.

Also working as:

Design-literate indie web developer
With 30 years of experience in web production, now working with WP and vanilla JS—focused on user interface and experience, combining clarity with usability.
Often prefers lightweight front-end structures over complex frameworks.
Interested in brand coherence, not just code correctness.

Situated transdisciplinary designer (aka Ghost Designer)
With three decades of hands-on Photoshop experience, working with social flows—designing structures, relationships, and brand meaning from where I stand, not from what’s usually called “design.”

Weekend photographer
Visually grounded in a multi-generational family of photo professionals—both of my parents and all four grandparents ran camera shops.
Photography remains one of the quiet ways I like to express myself—even if only occasionally.

Independent practitioner-researcher
Specializing in modern history, regional policy, and gender studies, and a member of several academic associations, with ongoing interest in their activities.
Affiliations include the Japanese Association for Gender History, the Japan Society for Regional Policy, the Japanese Association for Regional Revitalization, the Japan Association for Regional Design, the Japan Marketing Academy, and the Japan Association of Women’s Studies.

Motivated by a broader concern for social issues, I’ve also developed an interest in alternative education. Through my child’s kindergarten, I’ve become involved with a long-standing anthroposophic community in our region. My wife has been deeply engaged in both anthroposophic education and biodynamic farming, and has already completed the foundation course. I’m currently taking the same course, and gradually exploring biodynamic practices as well.
